Position Overview
The Engineer, Systems, Information, Lead serves as the senior technical lead for the IRS Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. This role directs engineering execution, modernization, workflow design, and complex troubleshooting while ensuring consistent technical decisions across all workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical execution and enforce consistent engineering decisions across M365 workstreams.
Direct modernization initiatives and guide workflow design to improve mission outcomes and platform performance.
Oversee complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across M365 services and integrations.
Coordinate technical priorities and delivery sequencing with stakeholders to maintain operational stability.
Produce/maintain technical documentation and ensure knowledge transfer supports continuity of operations.
Required Experience
Minimum of seven years of experience leading engineering and administering enterprise M365 environments.
Demonstrated leadership coordinating technical delivery across operations and modernization activities.
Proven ability to resolve complex platform issues and standardize technical approaches across teams.
Enterprise governance/security alignment experience in regulated environments.
Certifications / Qualifications
Microsoft 365 / Azure role-based certifications.
